Text Box: Dear all,

This year’s New Europe Film Festival is going ahead, as always. The dates have been set for 16-28h April 2010 and the event will happen only in Edinburgh (Filmhouse) this year. However, I am sure that again we can organize a great event with amazing new films from the new EU member states.

This year we are screening films from Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and… Croatia (I know they’re not in the EU yet but come on – they’re almost there and if you see the film you know why it was worth to bend the rules…).

Hope to see you at the Filmhouse in April!

New Europe Film Festival

You can join our group on Facebook and soon you will be able to invite your friends to our Facebook event.

Book the tickets in advance at the Filmhouse website and avoid missing a film— many shows sold out in the past.

New Europe is a term used for the twelve new members of the European Union that joined the Community in May 2004 and January 2007. New Europe Film Festival has been bringing the films from the new EU member states to the Edinburgh Filmhouse cinema since 2007. The organisers hope that this annual event will help the local Edinburgh audience and the immigrants from Eastern and Central Europe to establish a dialogue about their life in the enlarged Europe.
